LLF partnered with Rippleworks to design a revised process and finance dashboard.
The early learning crisis in Indian primary schools is severe and 55% of children in the age group 6 to 10 years are ‘learning poor.’ Early language and literacy skills are the basis of all future learning in schools. Therefore, strengthening teaching-learning for developing early literacy skills among students is crucial. The Language and Learning Foundation (LLF) was formed in 2015 with the aim of developing and implementing a variety of professional development opportunities for teachers, teacher educators and other stakeholders in the area of early grade student learning with a specific focus on language and literacy.
One of LLF’s top priorities going into this project was redesigning their finance dashboards and reportings.
LLF partnered with Neeraj Nagpal, a finance leader with over 20 years of progressive experience in leading Finance and Accounting in various sectors including insurance, financial services, government, real estate and non-profit. Together, they:
• Updated LLF’s chart of accounts, improved their data structure, and developed a prioritized list of reports.
• Designed a roadmap that will help LLF continue building reports and hire the appropriate people to expand the finance team’s capacity.
• Selected a business intelligence reporting tool and tested the development of reports.
