Educate! reduces youth unemployment in Africa by helping young people start real businesses while still at school. Their model increases incomes by providing students with training and mentorship in leadership, entrepreneurship, and workforce readiness skills.
Educate!’s top priority was improving and automating their manual finance processes as they prepare the organization for a new environment and business model. Educate! partnered with Rippleworks to develop and align their staff around new financial operating principles that utilize modeling to drive better decision making.
This was our third project and Rippleworks delivered exceptionally again!

Educate! partnered with Rippleworks Expert Adam Goldman, a finance leader who brings experience from Codeacademy, Chegg, Peperdata, Cisco, Meraki, CitiGroup, and Microsoft. Together, they:
• Defined and documented a framework to evaluate current finance processes and identify opportunities for efficiency, including creating a budgeting process flowchart
• Determined Educate!’s goals for the Finance Function; identified and prioritized finance process pain points by gathering input from field staff
• Defined Educate!’s operating principles, engaging and aligning key stakeholders
• Designed a new finance process; developed a Simplify, Automate, Outsource (SAO) framework to solve efficiency challenges ahead of implementation
